Details: We return to this popular site on the edge of the Grand Union Canal. The Inn was originally an 18th century farmhouse. The Blue Lias was named after the local quarried limestone. There is a large garden alongside the canal where you can have a lovely meal and a drink. Southam and Rugby are nearby for shopping.

Directions: From Coventry take the A45 to Tollbar Island. Follow signs for A45 (3 rd exit), then take 2nd left to A423 towards Southam. At Southam roundabout take 1 st exit signed Rugby/Draycote Water A426, and follow for approximately 1.5mls. Turn left at Stockton Road. Blue Lias is approximately ¾ ml on the left, just before the canal bridge.
PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT FOLLOW THE STOCKTON ROAD AT LONG ITCHINGTON AS THE CANAL BRIDGE IS NOT PASSABLE FOR CARAVANS AND LONGER VEHICLES.
